The word

A studio designation, not a loanword. English keeps wonder and worship in separate rooms; this names the corridor between them, the register where attention itself starts to behave like prayer.

The feeling

Wonder gone quiet. The questions stop and looking becomes enough, then becomes something more deliberate than looking: attendance. Time thickens. Whatever is in front of you seems briefly to be the only thing being done in the world.
