Two artifacts. One piece.

Every XPRMTS work is delivered in two parts. A physical print, made on archival Hahnemühle German Etching fine art paper and shipped insured. And a digital certificate of authenticity, recorded on Base, an Ethereum layer-2, and permanently linked to that print. Together, they make a piece that is both owned in the room and verifiable forever.

THE CERTIFICATE

On-chain token, minted on Base.

An ERC-721 minted via Manifold on Base, Coinbase's Ethereum layer-2. Records title, edition number, and mint timestamp. Held in the wallet you choose after delivery. XPRMTS covers mint gas. Verifiable forever via Basescan or any Base explorer, no platform required.

HOW TO VERIFY

Four steps. No login required.

Anyone — owner, future buyer, curious stranger — can verify a piece against the public record. There is no account, no platform, no gatekeeper.

  1. 01

    Locate the token

The token sits in the wallet you set as the certificate destination. The contract address is published on every product page.

  2. 02

    Open Basescan

Search the contract address on basescan.org. The token, owner address, mint date, and full transfer history are all visible without an account.

  3. 03

    Confirm metadata

Each token records the piece title, the edition number, and the original mint timestamp. These match the certificate record paired to your print.

  4. 04

    That's it.

Provenance is now confirmed against an immutable public record. No platform, no gallery, and no future change to XPRMTS can alter it.

QUESTIONS

Things people reasonably ask.

I do not own a crypto wallet. Can I still buy?

Yes. Checkout is standard credit card, Apple Pay, Shop Pay, or Google Pay, same as any online store. No crypto is required at checkout. After delivery, set the wallet where your certificate should mint. You can set it early, skip for now, or add it once the certificate is ready. XPRMTS covers gas.

What wallet should I use?

Use a wallet you control, not an exchange deposit address. For a first wallet, we recommend Rainbow or Coinbase Wallet. XPRMTS does not create wallets for Drop 001.

If I sell the print, does the certificate come with it?

Yes. The print and the certificate are designed to travel together. Selling one without the other permanently breaks provenance and is strongly discouraged. We recommend listing them jointly; the buyer receives the token via wallet transfer and the print via insured shipping.

What happens if Manifold or any platform shuts down?

Nothing. The certificate lives on Base, Coinbase's Ethereum layer-2, not on any single platform. It remains verifiable through any Base explorer (Basescan, etc.) regardless of which services are running. Manifold is a convenience layer for minting and management; the chain is the durable record.

Are XPRMTS pieces 1/1 NFTs?

Series 001 drop releases are limited editions, not 1/1. Pieces 01-03 are capped at 85 editions each. Pieces 04-05 are capped at 10 editions each. The total Series 001 run is 275 editions. The edition number is recorded on the certificate, not on the print itself. The archive includes earlier 1/1 NFTs from the studio's foundation years; those remain 1/1 on Ethereum and continue to be verifiable on the chain.

Why both a print and a certificate? Why not just one?

The print without the certificate is a print with no public lineage. The certificate without the print is a record without an artifact. The pairing is intentional: it gives you the physical object you can frame and live with, plus a permanent, public record that says it is real, that it is yours, and that the edition cap is fixed.

Can I burn the certificate and keep just the print?

Technically yes. We do not recommend it. Burning the token permanently breaks the chain of authenticity, and the print loses its verifiable status. The pieces are sold as a pair; we encourage them to remain a pair.

Series 001 opens August 8, 2026. Five works. Each one a print and a certificate.
